Special Services

Dementia Care
We have a group of Care Providers who have been certified by the National Memory Impairment Institute to work with our dementia clients. Memory impaired clients are much happier when they are with Care Providers who understand their disease. We understand these special people have special needs.

Hospital/Convalescent Care
When you have a loved one in the hospital or in a Skilled Nursing Facility and you would feel better knowing they are getting the kind of care you want them to have, we can send one of our Certified Nursing Assistants to be with them for long or short periods of time. That little bit of extra attention can make everyone a little happier.

Range Of Motion/Sittercise
This service is for folks who have experienced a broken limb, hip or had a stroke and require range of motion exercises to receive the full benefit of recovery. Most people are given a set of exercises when they leave the hospital, and they go into the discharge bag and somehow never to be seen again. Many times the patient is assigned a visiting physical therapist for 4 half hour visits when the first come home. If it is possible to have an exercise aid come to your home for 6-8 weeks 1 hour a visit the likelihood of additional recovery is more than possible. For some reason spouses just don’t seem to be successful assisting their loved one with exercising. We will just let you guess why.

Wellbeing Visits
A case manager or a certified nursing assistant will visit the facility your loved one is in and spend an hour chatting and engaging them in some activity. We will also view their chart to see how they have been doing. Time permitting we will if possible take the individual for a walk inside and or out; weather permitting. We will bring an interesting magazine and a snack to share. After our visit we will send the appointed family member a report on our findings. This service is designed to relieve busy family members of undue stress, we know families would like to visit their loved one more often but just are not able to stretch their time any further.

In Home Notary Service

This service has been designed to save people the inconvenience of having to leave their home to have personal or legal documents notarized. There is a flat fee for this service plus mileage if the client lives more than 10 miles from our office, the first 10 miles are free of charge.

Facility Placement
Our Facility Placement Coordinator will come to your home and show you what is available in El Dorado and Amador Counties. She will help you decide how to get ready for the move and what facilities have availability. She can also help family members decide what placement options are best for their loved ones.

Case Management
These services are available to anyone who would like assistance with bill paying, banking and/or assistance with filling out a Durable Power of Attorney for health care.

Emergency Staffing
(This special service is designed for Discharge Planners and Hospice agencies
.)

We do however make this service available to the general public as well.

When you call for emergency staffing and we are able to accommodate your needs within 4-6 hours from the time you call, we have provided emergency staffing. Before we are able to staff your needs you must provide us with a credit card to use for the services requested.  Our Service Coordinator will make a home visit to do the in-home assessment the next business day. We will take care of all the necessary paper work at the same time.
